Administration

Mike Pope Principal
My name is Mike Pope, and I began serving as the principal of Shiloh Park Middle School in August of 2022. I grew up in central Illinois and have been in education since 2004. I spent my first eight years teaching physical education in elementary, middle, and high school. Since then, I have served as an assistant principal at both the middle and high school levels, and now principal. My wife and I have three wonderful kids, and they are involved in all sorts of activities. We enjoy spending time outdoors, typically involving sports-related activities. If I ever get free time, I spend as much of it as possible on the golf course (usually with my kids). Before golf, my passion was basketball. I played in college and also coached at the varsity level during my time as a teacher.
All students have the ability to succeed, and I am eager to watch them grow throughout the school year. It is our duty to create an environment where every student has the opportunity to grow, thrive, and achieve success.

Keayon Senter Assistant Principal
My name is Keayon Senter, and I am excited to begin a new school year with the students, families, and staff of Zion Elementary School District 6. As a proud product of this community, having attended elementary, middle, and high school right here in Zion, it is a true honor to now serve and support the students of ZESD 6.
With over a decade of experience in education, my passion lies in empowering students academically and supporting their social-emotional development to help them reach their fullest potential. I firmly believe in the importance of creating equitable opportunities and inspiring students to see beyond their current circumstances, encouraging them to dream big, work hard, and know that success is within their reach.

Mark Neiberg Dean
I am the Dean of Students for SPMS. I have over twenty years of public education experience, starting as a sixth-grade self-contained teacher in Chicago. I was previously an administrator at Waukegan Public Schools for fifteen years. I had a wide-ranging experience there, having been involved in creating, implementing, and training staff in student discipline, Section 504, and student services. Most recently, I was a high school administrator, supervising related service personnel and developing a credit recovery blended learning program. One of the larger initiatives I worked on was developing and creating an implementation plan for the Multi-Tiered System of Support. I work with a great SPMS staff and look forward to the upcoming school year.
