SPMS students and families came together in the Performing Arts Center at ZBTHS on Wednesday, May 24, to celebrate the promotion of the eighth-grade class.

Dr. Diana Rauner, president of Start Early and Former First Lady of Illinois, visited ZESD 6 to join a panel of staff, board members, and Mayor McKinney to discuss early childhood education in the district and northern Lake County.

Middle school band and orchestra students participated in the Zion-Benton Township High School’s Solo and Ensemble Festival.

On March 19, more than 40 choir students performed with other Chicago-area choirs before the Chicago Wolves game.

For the third year in a row, SPMS Supervisory Aide, Ms. Palmer, celebrated Black History Month by wearing different shirts featuring prominent Black historical figures.

ZESD 6 Choir students from West and Elmwood Elementary Schools, along with Shiloh Park and Zion Central Middle Schools, joined other choirs from the surrounding school districts at the annual ZB Choralfest.

On Saturday, February 25, a small group of Shiloh Park Middle School band students performed at the 33rd Annual Black History Program at ZBTHS.

ZESD 6 would like to thank ZBTHS for coming to Zion Central Middle School to talk to 8-grade students from both ZCMS and SPMS about some of the programs the high school offers.

This past week students at Elmwood, Lakeview, SPMS, West, and ZCMS participated in the Hour of Code during Technology class.

This past week, ZCMS and SPMS eighth-graders attended a career webinar with local aviation industry leaders.

Shiloh Park staff celebrated the end of the 2022 boys’ soccer season by playing a staff versus student game.

On Friday, October 28, a group of middle school students from ZCMS and Shiloh went on a field trip to Illinois Beach State Park.

Zion Elementary School District 6 band students from Shiloh Park and Central Middle School joined Beach Park Middle School, North Prairie Junior High and Zion Benton Township High School for Band Night at the high school.

Students and staff of Zion Elementary District 6 participated in the Zion Together Community Walk last Friday evening.

Congratulations to all of our 8th-grade graduates! We are so proud to have called you Roadrunners. You have all accomplished so much, and we cannot wait to see where you go! Now it's time for the next journey - high school.
